AT&T and HRC Introduce Scholarship Contest for LGBTQ+ College Students (News Release)

Overview

In 2017, AT&T partnered with Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a leading advocacy organization on LGBTQ+ rights across the United States, to launch the Live Proud On Campus scholarship contest. The contest invited LGBTQ+ and community ally college students to submit a video proposal for an on-campus project they would launch should they be named one of the Grand Prize winners. Ultimately, three grand prize winners received a $10,000 scholarship and a trip to Washington D.C. to attend the HRC National Dinner that fall, as well as $2,500 to fund their on-campus project, as well as a year-long mentorship with HRC leadership.
